My son is EXACTLY there, and he has been for a year or so. It's getting a little better (regarding the number, length and convolution of the rules), but it's been a hard slog. I mean, you want to be supportive, but geez. And since I'm not at all a gamer, I don't even get half the references. (My husband does, but he maintains this makes it more painful, not less.)<br /><br />Anyway, I know that your first paragraph is not the point of this (very charming) post.
