Does It Smell A Little World-War-Two-ey In Here?

Or is it just me?

I'm not claiming to have made any close examination of the parallels, mind you. I just look at the worsening financial situation, the increasing concentration of government power (in the US, in Turkey, in Europe) and--let's see, all we need is a dangerous, radical philosophy that has the extermination of the Jews as its goal.

Anyone? Anyone?

Nah, I guess not.

  1. Well, if it's 1933, then we don't have to worry about the USA getting fully involved until Obama's 3rd term (and a 3rd term isn't outside the realm of possibility given the fervor of his acolytes, unfortunately).

  2. That's assuming we stay in the USA role and not the Italy role.

  3. XWL, LOL. That's sort of sad, nervous laughter, by the way...

  4. I don't really think that's going to happen, not here anyway. Europe on the other hand, who knows. I can honestly see France calling in the FFL if the 'youths' start burning Puegots in downtown Paris rather than the shitholes they live in.

I see us going more down the road of England and as much as I respect the Brits, it's hard to see it as the same nation that fostered the modern West.

Keep in mind that the good thing about our executive office is that its only a 4 year term.

  5. FDR could've served 16 if he'd lived, and the first eight of those, he was seriously (#*&#$ing the pooch.

But, yes, it's often four when we need four.

Grab an umbrella. Unleash hell. Your mileage may vary. Results not typical. If swelling continues past four hours, consult a physician.
